A |     The Thalasseus bernsteini (Chinese crested tern), known as the "mythical bird," is one of the world's rarest seabirds. Since 2013, Zhejiang has been carrying out efforts to attract the species to suitable habitats and restore its population through artificial measures. After more than a decade of sustained efforts, the number of adult Thalasseus bernsteini in Zhejiang now accounts for more than 85 percent of the global population.    Zhejiang is making every effort to build itself into a province with a higher level of ecological development. The conservation of the "mythical bird" is a prime example. Biodiversity conservation is not only a key focus in Zhejiang's pursuit of higher-quality ecological development, but has also gradually become a new calling card for the province's green development on the international stage.    When Summer Returns, jointly produced by Zhejiang Provincial Center for Environmental Education and Communication and the China News Service Zhejiang Branch, was released online today. The documentary takes viewers to the islands to hear the stories behind the conservation of the "mythical bird."                    。    (ECNS) -- Over 3,000 global exhibitors are expected to attend the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) which will be held during Sept. 17 through Sept. 21, according to the expo secretariat.    Nearly 500 companies from ASEAN countries and beyond have confirmed participation in expo, focusing on emerging sectors such as AI and digital communications, the expo secretariat said.    A number of Fortune Global 500 companies, including China Datang Corporation, Bank of China and Indonesia’s state-owned oil company Pertamina, will attend the expo.    More than 70 innovative companies will also showcase their products and technologies at the event.    The CAEXPO will feature around 300 new products and 200 new technologies in areas such as digital technology, intelligent manufacturing and green development, highlighting new trends in regional industrial upgrading.    Over the past 22 years, the expo has attracted nearly 50,000 participating companies and more than 1.5 million buyers, promoting regional economic integration.    This year’s CAEXPO is expected to attract more than over 30,000 buyers.    (By Intern Liu Shuangjing, Zhang Dongfang)                    。
